Connecting your tools to HubSpot

Last updated: August 27, 2026

The principle: native first

If HubSpot has a built-in way to connect something, we use it. Custom integrations are a last resort.

That is not laziness. Every custom integration is a thing that can break silently at 2am, and that someone has to maintain forever. A native connector is maintained by the vendor. The bar for building custom is therefore high: it has to be doing something a native option genuinely cannot.

What we usually connect

Which tools are in scope depends entirely on your engagement, but the pattern is consistent: the systems where revenue-relevant things happen. If a customer interaction happens in a tool and the CRM cannot see it, your reporting is blind to it.

The classic finding is a CRM being asked to report on a business it cannot see. Fixing that is often the highest-leverage work in an engagement, and it is usually unglamorous.

What we need from you

Admin access to the system being connected. Usually temporary, and always specific.

Someone who knows how that system is actually used. The documentation describes the intended process. We need the real one.

A decision about what matters. Not everything needs to sync. Syncing everything creates noise, slows things down, and makes the CRM harder to use. We will push you to choose.

When something stops syncing

Integrations break, usually because a credential expired or a field changed on one side. Email support@romandamedia.com with what you noticed and when, and see the Troubleshooting section for what to include.
